Services

Pathways ABA provides services to clients in the Newcastle, Hunter Valley and Port Stephens areas, using a mobile service model that works with the client in home, in school/preschool, or in the community. Pathways ABA provides intervention to children between the ages of 18 months and 14 years who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental delay. Each program is overseen by Hayley Coles as the Program Supervisor and is implemented by in-home therapists or by the client’s caregivers.

Comprehensive ABA Program:

A comprehensive program provides the client with a package that targets a range of developmental domains and goals.

Initial Start Up Phase:
A comprehensive ABA program begins with an initial start-up phase. The initial start-up phase stretches across 8-weeks with a focus on:

  • Completion of a comprehensive assessment of the client’s skills and behaviour
  • Determining short-term and long-term goals based on the results of the assessment and the priorities identified by the client and caregivers
  • Developing a program to address the goals identified
  • Commencing both parent and/or therapist training

  • Ongoing therapist and parent training – 1 x 2-hour session
  • Team meeting – 2 hours
  • Flexible Hours – 2 hours dedicated to an area which is identified as a priority for the client and caregivers (e.g. preschool/school visit, updating the therapy program, additional team training or parent training, collaborating with other professionals).
